Building Community in Kitsap County since 2013

North Kitsap Homeschool Community (NKHC) is an all-inclusive, LGBTQ+ friendly community supporting homeschooling families of Kitsap County. Members are unique and diverse, representing the full spectrum of homeschooling philosophies and practices, from unschooling to participation in school district ALE programs. We welcome families from all cultural and religious backgrounds and strive to maintain an environment where all families can feel comfortable sharing their unique ideas, beliefs, traditions, interests, and talents.  
Our community values and prioritizes respectful communication, mutual understanding, and empathy. We are committed to cultivating a harmonious and inclusive community that strongly emphasizes respect, aiming to nurture lifelong learning and foster genuine friendships. We believe all interactions can be done with kindness and respect, regardless of the circumstances. All members, both adults and children, must be respectful and kind to each other despite differences of opinion, including political and religious beliefs and choices in how children are taught or raised. Our community’s health and success depends on all members committing to the practice of these values.
